How To Choose The Core Equipment For Producing Scouring Pad Sponge Blocks
1. Sponge Foaming
Sponge foaming machines are divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic types, mainly used to produce sponge substrates (PU or PVA sponges). Sponges are foamed into porous sponge blocks by mixing raw materials such as foaming agents, polyols, isocyanates, etc. For example, semi-automatic foaming machines have low costs and flexible formulas, and can produce small batches and multiple varieties of sponges, such as antibacterial sponge formulas.
2. Sponge Cutting
Sponge cutting machines are divided into vertical cutting machines, flat cutting machines, and special-shaped cutting machines. Its main purpose is to cut large pieces of foamed sponges into the required thickness and shape. The cutting accuracy is high (±0.5mm error), waste is avoided, and there are no burrs on the edges. Special-shaped cutting (such as wavy cleaning surfaces) can also be processed, and CNC cutting machines can ensure uniform thickness.
3. Laminating Machine
Laminating machines are divided into hot pressing laminating machines and spray laminating machines. Hot pressing laminating machines activate adhesive films (such as EVA glue) by heating, making them more firmly bonded, with high bonding strength and high temperature resistant cleaning performance, suitable for high-end scouring pads (such as heavy kitchen oil stains). The spray laminating machine sprays water-based glue, which is environmentally friendly and suitable for porous materials (such as low-cost ordinary scouring pads). Both laminating machines can ensure strong interlayer adhesion and withstand washing and repeated friction.
4. Punching machine
The punching machine is mainly used to punch the composite material into the final product shape (such as squares, perforated patterns). Its main advantage is that the edge can be polished flat at one time without secondary trimming. Multi-station molds can be integrated (such as stamping and trimming at the same time) to standardize the finished product.
Finally, through the above steps, foaming, mixing and molding are the three major links. We can systematically select core equipment that meets production needs and is cost-effective to ensure product quality and production capacity stability.
